So I was wondering if you guys think it'd be better to game at 4k with all settings maxed at 60 FPS or should I game at 1440p with al settings maxed at 144 FPS.

Before you guys say this is opinion based let me say that I'd rather have your opinion on this rather than spends a couple hundred bucks on something I end up not using.

and lastly if you think the 4k option is better, what monitor do you recommend? I really like the asus ROG monitors and all their extra things but they're just so gosh darn expensive. Maybe you know a good alternative to their ROG 4k monitor with al the same or slightly fewer/more technologies and addons and what not.

DEPENDS ON YOU AND ONLY YOU! 144Fps is great for FPS gaming,4k is great for games such as GTA 5,Witcher

Depends on you,remember that

How dare you say it depends on me after I explicitly saod not to. Haha jk you have me some useful info.

so 4k 60FPS for non competitive games and 1440p 144 FPSfor competitive gaming. Sound about right?

also do you know any monitor mounts or tricks to move my monitors around quickly and not making a mess? That way I can change which one is in the center for when I play different games.

and again do you know any good 4k monitors that are cheap? If possibly any that have some of the same technologies as the asus ROG monitors.

I'd suggest just turning your chair, I'm fairly sure there aren't any monitor arms that would allow for that, not to mention the cables would become a mess quickly.

Yes,but some people still use 4k 60fps for competitive gaming

What's your budget? and what setup do you have? for 4k your gonna need a really beefy setup

My setup is good for 4k.

My my budget would be around $500 cheaper would be great to. If it goes above $500 I'm cool with that but once it gets above $600 I don't care about it because by that point I'd rather save for an asus ROG monitor.

Once I'm ready to upgrade my triple monitor setup, I'll likely go to 4K at 60/75hz since I prefer games looking good versus high framerates. It's mostly up to you though.

If you play FPS or action, 1440@144hz with G-Sync/Freesync.

If you play RPS or adventure, 2160@60.

My question would be (if you don't have a ticker in the corner) would you notice blades of grass moving fluidly or a blade of grass that doesn't jaggy itself as you walk by! (Fucking OBLIVION! sorry.)?

Yeah but they're so sexy and it is quite nice to show off to your friends and all lol. Do you think gsync will be necessary at all?

and do you know of any good monitor mounts? Should I go with one that can mount 2 or should I just mount one and have the other off to the side?

Monoprice, Newegg, etc. Just look for weight limits, size restraints, and assembly (is it drilled, pressure-mounted, or comes with a stand). You should also look for cable management locations but that secondary since zipties...
