NAS Build

Hi,

 

I'm looking to have a NAS for my home. If someone could build me one, I would appreciate it! I need it to do the following things:

• Have at least 2TB of Storage + 2TB Backup (So Raid 1) (With drives designed for NAS')
• Be able to set Custom Backups Intervals (So like every 6 hours and only backup files that have changed, not the whole drive getting backed up)
• Be able to look at stored backup data and easily retrieve it, like this:
• Be an Micro ATX Mini or Mini ITX Build
• Be below $500 AUD

Sorry if this isn't explained well, but if you have any questions just ask

Why not get a low end synology nas. It can do all of this and would cost about 200.

I said AUD  Like 3/4 of that build isn't available in Australia

There is no point in giving that build if it's not in the currency that I asked for..

i have a server with a LGA775 CPU in it

it has the Q8400 @2.6 Ghz

it was $80 AUS on eBay

it's my main storage server

plus 2TB drives an't cheep, i had to cheep out everywhere just to make it adleast under $500

you try building a server for under $200 AUS, it's hard
