What's your budget or limit?

The CPU is too old.

Buy an A-Data SP550 240GB.

I would get the Rosewill Quark 500W PSU.

Windows can be found on dealscube for under 40.

If it were me I would rather choose this build. I would prefer an intel CPU and I guess a downside to my build would be that it does not have an SSD.

What kind of games do you play and on what resolution?

I am playing, cs:go, combat arms, minecraft and in the future more games.

You might want to upgrade the GPU if you plan to play more demanding games in the future.

It will be good enough for now at 1080p, but if you wait a few more years and keep playing games, especially AAA titles, it wont be able to run games at ultra 1080p 60fps.

AMD processors are old and do not perform as well as Intel, the new AMD processor series (Zen) is coming out soon, you could wait for that to see how it stacks up.

The performance loss in not worth it for the amount of money you save.

Pretty much, yeah. AM2 must be a very old platform since AM3 is already 3-4 years old I think. So I don't even think that would stack up against what could be made of a $700 budget.

well intel has more advantages than amd . like XMP profile for example.
amd is cheaper yes.. but tend to create more heat than intel and a little bit inefficient.
though the new amd zen processor will be release soon..lets hope it can rival intel.

ok, also i forgot to mention that i currently own an Intel Core-i5-3450 3.10GHz can i use this?

Would have been a lot easier and a lot less head scratching if you followed this format:
