Hello i have a question about AV software

So currently on my old laptop i have Mcafee (it came bundled with it so i didn't have an option) it proved useful to me but after doing some research many people seem to think Mcafee is bad and i have no idea why. So for my new computer that i built i want to know what is the best (if there is one (or should i say "reliable")) Anti-virus software out there? I hear Avast is quite good and AVG

Currently i have had experience with Nortan and Mcafee

Any advice on this will be needed

Thanks

Avast or just Microsoft Defender AND Malwarebytes.

The reason Norton and Mcaffee (and more and more AVG) are bad is because they're bloated as fuck.

What is Malwarebytes?

A Malware scanner. Malware and Viruses are two different things and they are only detected by their respective scanners.

Comodo Internet Security for me, It's been losing it's edge a little in detection rates but it is a monster at blocking zero day malware due to it's default deny system
