Weird.

3 380s in Crossfire? Not just this

The R9 380 only supports Crossfire up to 2 cards.

But also Crossfire scaling gets quite a bit worse over 2.

If I was you, I would spend less on the SSD, mobo and CPU, then get a 1070, 2 390/390Xs or similar.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Nah gonna be paperweight ^^

Couldn't really find anything about max 2 cards on the manufactory site

Yeah but it would be kinda pointless as it would give almost no performance increase and it would kick out more heat, just sell the third one.

Thats fine for me. but back to the other parts? would they work fine together + be a little future proof?

If he wanted to run a second display, or just a few others for webpages while gaming, it would remove the performance hit.

EDIT: JUST LOADED THOSE TWO COMMENTS THAT SAY EXACTLY THIS

That performance hit would only lose him like 0.5fps.

The extra heat and power isn't worth it.

I don't get it. Of course not, but I usually have a dual GPU SLI/CF with a second card for a second monitor due to the performance hits I've observed.

Unless he's running three 4k displays (which he shouldn't with 380s) there will be little to no performance drop.

I'm running 4k + 1080p and I've experienced pretty bad performance drops.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you play on the Titan Z that's most likely due to not all games supporting SLI.

But whatever, think what you will.

Wow, I've been over this before today, so I'll just copy/paste from the last time I explained this.

" I don't see how what GPU's I currently have relate to it at all. I've used 660 ti's, I've used 7990's, I've used a single Titan Z. All of them were the same. They provided a satisfactory boost in performance, and not once did I loose a limb or have a seizure. SLI is SLI and CFX is CFX. The system is the same no matter how much you choose to pay, save for dual core boards. "

Also what does that have to do with what we're talking about?

See, the issue with that is that you're pretending I've never used the system

?

You've lost me pirate, idfk what you're going on about anymore.

Not all games support SLI/CF it's a fact, does that mean SLI/CF is a bad idea? No, because I never said that.

The issue is that you completely dismiss one thing with absolutely no justification. Again, that's not meant to sound aggressive.

I've never personally experienced a performance drop going from 1 all the way to 3 monitors on the same GPU.

Another thing the OP could do is sell the card for $200-250 and buy a cheap card to drive any other displays, but OP might want to run some tests since he already has all three of the cards anyways.

im too lazy to try to sell it. then i always have a spare card if im going to build a mini rig or a rig for lans or something. But another question, since the card almost has the same functions as the cards that supports 4-way, couldn't it be unlock able by doing a BIOS mod?.. And ofcause if we go back to my first post. all i have to know is if the motherboard and cpu is kinda furture proof choises?
