Good CPU or good GPU?

Hello, me and one of my friend are going to buy a laptop: I'm into doing 3D things on Cinema 4D (among others) and my friend is into video editing. For 3D modelisation is it best to get a laptop with a good CPU (i7-6700HQ) and medium GPU (GTX 950m) or the other way around (i5 6300HQ + GTX 960m or 970m)?

The same quation goes for the video editing laptop.

I belive the 6700hq though give us your budget and we could probably hook you up with a good laptop
