Hi guys, i just build my first pc and my cpu temps on idle are about 20c. I dont have a gpu yet so i have to play with the igpu but the temps do not raise as much as i expected, they are like 24-26c, do you think i have a faulty temp sensor? The ropm has air conditioned but it's not that cold, the case being steel gets pretty cold tho, it's an nzxt s340, i have only 2 fans in it, they are in the front, my cpu is an intel core i5 6500 and the cooler is a cryorig h7. Do you guys think i have a faulty sensor? Am i slowly killing the cpu because of it? Should i adjust the fan speed/ temp curve?

Likely not honestly. My wifes i6 6400 with an evo 212 on it does about the same. Would never get above 35c when playing games on her iGPU.

It's more likely that the software you're using isn't fully compatible. Try some other monitor. To my experience the BIOS is least likely to give you false readings. 20c sounds a bit low even if you have AC unless you've actually set the temp that low. The CPU cannot actually be below ambient.
