I got a new computer, so I copied all files I need from my Laptop to the new computer. After that I wanted to restore the laptop so it would be like new without any of my stuff on it. I started a system restore, and when it started restoring, I decided that it's probably better if I delete the files myself. I stopped the restore, but now Windows doesn't work it says that I have to insert the Windows disk which I don't have. What do I do??

It had a Windows 7

I would indeed recommend you either make a Windows 7 install USB to reinstall Windows or to use the provided installation media that came with the laptop. Assuming it came with installation media, which reading over OPs first post again, he doesn't have.

You can get a Windows 7 ISO here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/software-download/windows7

What did you use to put it on a USB? I'd reccomend Rufus or http://wudt.codeplex.com/ . You can't just unpack the ISO afaik.

I've tried to copy and paste the files and I've tried different programs, but nothing worked. I tried Rufus and the only thing that changed was that it now says "Press any key to boot from USB", but that's it. The Windows USB/DVD Download tool says that there's something wrong with the ISO or the USB.

Download Rufus. https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Download MiniTool Partition Wizard Bootable 9.1 https://www.partitionwizard.com/partition-wizard-bootable-cd.html

Burn it with Rufus and Boot from USB. Remove System Reserved + Local Disk C:

Now burn your Windows ISO and boot. If it doesnt, try to burn one of any linux distros and notice if it works.

Edit: As far as I understand you want to delete your files. Just remove all of HDD on Partition Wizard. Also probably you damaged boot manager when restoring system.

I'm currently in the MiniTool Partition Wizard and I'm unsure what to do. As of right now I don't really care about deleting the files, I just want the laptop to work.

It's weird. Delete all partitions but dont create a new one this time. If it doesnt work too, burn ubuntu to USB and boot it. Lets see if it makes any difference.

I deleted all partitions and didn't create one, but that did not help. I was able to install Ubuntu.

Interesting situtation. I think you have to try another Windows ISO.

Where do I get them? I can't get them from Microsoft because when I enter the Product key it says that I need to contact the manufacturer because Windows was already installed on the laptop. I went on Toshiba's website, but wasn't able to get the ISO.

I dont think it's accepted on this forums but you can get it from illegal sites also you can find Windows 10 here legally.

I found out what the problem was. It wasn't the ISO's, it was the USB I was using!
