Hello guys my building components arrived yesterday and I set it all up and now I've been testing my recently installed h80i a bit and these are the temps that I am getting.

This is with the 2 stock fans that come with it installed in push pull as exhaust in the back/top of the carbide 300r. I made sure most cabels are well hidden so it doesn't affect the airflow of my system to much.

I'm still new to cooling so I have no idea if these temps are decent, I feel they aren't that great tbh.

my cooling setup

-h80i in push pull with stock fans in the rear top as exhaust

- 4 spectre pros 140mm as intakes 2 infront 2 on side panel

- 1 spectre pro 120mm as exhaust on the top

I might have gone wrong slightly in the mounting of it but I am not sure it was my first time doing it, also used the standard thermal paste that was already applied on it and cleaned my cpu beforehand with isopropyl alcohol and some tissues.

I would love some advice to make my cpu cooler during tasks for some heavy overclocking bring me your ideas!

those temps are fine the min temps are good but the max temps are neh but i dont have any personal experience with the h80i but i do have a overkill wc loop and my temps are from 30-45

yeah its those max temps im worried about, ofcourse its at 100% load I tested with prime95 but I've seen other people with the same cpu and cooler getting way lower temps :/ if I would use arctic cooling MX 4 thermal past instead of the already applied thermal paste you think it would help?

a diferent thermal past will only make a 1-5 c diference (i think) but mabey you could get better fans but dont worry about it your temps are fine :D

and as I said it was my first time installing something like a h80i so it was trial and error trying to fit it on the mounting bracket, could it be I scratched some thermal paste of? or it's not connecting the cpu properly? although it feels very sturdy if I try to move it.

Thats about what i get in temps on the same cooler.U are good to go for now.

ah that's good to know then! maybe I can always improve it getting better fans like noctuas... or try a different thermal paste or both! I will try it in the future. Thanks a lot for the quick replies guys

Same H80i in Push/Pull with Arctic Silver 5 and stock fans in Quiet Mode. The max temp I can remember seeing was around 60°C.

im pretty sure I found the problem, I didn't mount the washers on the backplate to make the screws more tighters with the motherboard so there's a gap inbetween, my guess is the cooling block isn't making full contact with the CPU. Guess I'll have to fix that later.

yea try that. also remember its impossable to over tighten the screws because the thread stops when they are at the perfect tightness , so make sure you mount it and tighten the screws all the way
