I'm relatively low on disk space, (90gb free of 1tb), and I was busy playing cs go, on a discord call. Then all of a sudden, my screen went blue (similar to a bsod) but with white lines across the screen and no bsod message. I forced restarted it, and now it's been stuck on the loading screen for about 3 minutes now. What happened? And should I just force restart again? Or should I wait for it to post manually.

(Edit: After about 8 minutes, it posted.)

Nothing.

Try to turn it off and let it cool down. It could perfectly be a overheat problem, or a RAM issue, or a GPU...

I would just disconnect the power cable, wait for 10 minutes and then start again.

If it doesn't boot, you have several other options. Do you have access to another PC? Do you have a spare Pendrive available?

It actually didnt post or it didnt boot.
Not posting means the BIOS refused to let your system post, which means anything from overheats, overvolts, short circuit, faulty or loose hardware and some other things, but yeah leave it off for half an hour to 2 hours before you go wasting 3 hours diagnosing.

Nah man, he needs the new 100TB SSD. Can’t have enough storage man

usually BSODs happen when you run out of RAM, but because of PAGEFILE.SYS this is on the hard drive, therefore if you have 100TB of space your PAGEFILE.SYS can be very large and you wont run out of ram

Decided to let it cool overnight. (Hence me not being able to reply.)

But was this a bsod? There wasn't any message.

Stawp LYING! Jokes aside, disable your dGPU and try your iGPU and stress your laptop again? If it does the same thing then it's obvious not a GPU problem but if it's fine then it's probably something with the 740m :/.

Some times something might just happen and if you leave it, it will never come back again :P.
