yeah intel HD is not going to cut it, you have the budget for a laptop with a 1060 or 1070 in it, so I would get that. I would get a clevo rebranded laptop, like sager and such, you can just google clevo and then your country and there should come up a reseller or two

I was thinking of building a new pc. I saw Linus's Tiny PC video then I thought of doing it, so more portability. Then i thought why not just buy a laptop? I will carry it around alot (hence being portable) but i should have an outlet all time. I will be doing some Heavy video editing and 3d graphics so at least maybe 8 gb of ram (or changable ram) and maybe 3 Ghz. My budget is around 1000$-2000$ USD.

Thank you

The integrated intel graphics are quite good.

I can run most games like Rocket Leauge and Sims at about 50 FPS 1440P on medium, which s very good for a non gaming-built ultrabook

oh god no, you cannot edit videos or do 3d graphic well with a iGPU.

How heavy video editing are you planning on doing?

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

now that they launched the new laptops with gtx 10series gpus, i would take a look at those with 1060s in them. personally i think the gs43vr. according to this norwegian page: https://www.komplett.no/product/895031/pc-nettbrett/pc-baerbar/gaming-pc-er/msi-gs43vr-14-full-hd-matt it shall have 16 gigs of ram and a 1060 with a 14" 1080p display, and a core i7(the laptop variant) my guess is that it will weigh under 2kg or about 4lb. norway has a 25% tax on everything, and that is accounted for, so i think that the pv will end up at about 1800$ sadly if you want the 1080s or 1070s you will have to go up in weight and price, but there should be some 15,6" models if you think 14" is too small.

Oooh this have potential! I found a 980M/970 M(or is it 1080/1070? The interface is confusing) GPU, i7-6700HQ CPU, and 32 gb of ram! And its just around 2000$!

Is it good enough? Link (some of it might be in my languge)

a 1060 beats a 980m and that one has a 1060 or 1070. @D2ultima can help a bit more now, I don't have that much time right now

Should be the 1060/1070 instead of the 970M/980M. It should be good enough for your needs.

From my experience looking at workstations, your going to be looking at the Quadro series. The GTX is more gaming and enthusiast. If by 3D graphics you mean actual creating and designing, not COD, then I would look at a workstation with a Quadro. It'll have better quality rendering graphics intensive programs like CAD or other software programs, but won't hit the frame rate of a GTX in gaming.

Do some research and comparison prior to purchasing.

The quadros are WAY out of my budget and i have used to have a gtx 980 pc and its good enough for me. Im only animating 3d logos and stuff in cinima 4d

There's a very specialized set of software that can take advantage of Quadro. Generally, if you have to ask whether you need Quadro or not, you don't. At your 2k budget, pick up a 1070 laptop. Something like a P650RS or P670RS.

Laptop Main

(Retired) Zbook 15: i7-6820HQ, M2000M, 32gb, 512gb SSD + 2tb HDD, 4k Dreamcolor

(Retired) Alienware 15 R3: i7-6820HK, GTX1070, 16gb, 512 SSD + 1tb HDD, 1080p

(Retired) T560: i7-6600U, HD520, 16gb, 512gb SSD, 1620p

(Retired) P650RS: i7-6820HK, 1070, 16gb, 512gb + 1tb HDD, 4k Samsung PLS

(Retired) MBP 2012 Retina: i7-3820QM, GT650M, 16gb, 512gb SSD, 1800p
