I want to overclock my 6600k to 4.5ghz but I need a good way to cool it. I would prefer a fan instead of water cooling as it looks quite hard to do. I am willing to pay quite a lot but not some ridiculous price for it.

Thanks,

Fruitypanda

How much is this "quite a lot but not ridiculous price"?

Wrong mentality. Don't think "I want to achieve this number", think of it as "I'll try to push this as far as I can". That way, not only you avoid getting frustrated when you fail to achieve 4.5, but you'll also get very happy when you succeed in OCing it even further.

Remember, if your chip doesn't want to play nice, it just won't do what you want. You have no say on the matter, outside of your cooling choice, in which the better, the better (lolz)!

Er.. WC is not hard at all. If you have space in your case, it's highly recommended.

A 240/280mm rad would fit nicely.

What do you reccomend?

@STRMfrmXMN is more of an expert than me (They are THE expert...)

Also, what are your temperatures under load with your 212 Evo? It is likely to be enough.

He wan't to OC it to 4.5 so he put in his sig because he thinks he will get 4.5 stable always, but with a 500B 4.5 ain't gonna happen

An AIO is the best choice,if you could add more cash a EK Predator 240 is the best of the best

73 degrees never the less I would want a stronger cooling system just in case
