Coloring mousepad?

HI guys.

I bougt white desk, and i wanna get extended black mousepad. I searched every store in my town and there is no extended mousepads, except some MS DRAGON 2.

So i wonder, can i use black spray paint or black marker to color out these green lines? What do you think?

It will work but the mouse pad would be horrible to use due to mouse pad's having a texture and a marker or spray would destroy the texture

I can only order from ebay, amazon also does not shipp to my country.. and i can't wait 1 and half month for mousepad to arrive from hong kong
