I have been searching around for a 200 ish dollar portable osiloscope, any suggestions?

The dso quad seems really intreaguing but i want to stay cautious because i need something portable and usable.

I have a DSO nano v2 and if you just need to take a quick peek at a circuit to get a general idea of what's going on it will serve you well. I swapped to a different firmware (I did this a while ago so I don't recall the exact name but it greatly increased the UI and made using the scope a little more enjoyable) I've made good use of mine when playing around with micro controllers and doing some very basic circuit troubleshooting. Anything past that and I don't know how well it would hold up.

 

In some ways I wish I had held out for a proper desktop scope but for a scope you can fit in your pocket it'll do you fairly well if you're out and about. That said - I find I'm always taking the readings with a grain of salt since I've seen it butcher some higher frequency waveforms.

Yeah, it is just for quick on the go measuring.

Dso quad seems to be good for its price though. @MrOud
