Can't Install Steam

Hey everyone,

I was having problems with my computer after I installed my graphics card and I ended up having to reinstall windows. After I reinstalled windows I had to reinstall my drivers and programs but when I went to download steam I got this error message. More specifically I can download the install file but when I try to run it is when I got this error message.

 

Really hoping to get this solved today so I can play all my game on my new Corsair K70 that just came here today. Thanks for the help

Try running in admin and xp compatibility mode.

Disable UAC, run as administrator.

Your account doesnt have install privileges.Go into control panel while logged into admin.

delete it and try again

OK assuming you have admin rights on the computer try this. Redownload steam. Place it on your desktop. Run it as administrator. If it asks for Admin password type it in.

 

Then it should install from there.
