Just wondering if anybody has any clue what the coolest running 1060 model is. I know it's not the only factor when picking a gpu but heat kills electronics so logically as long as the company doesn't have atrocious support and rma then that should be the most important factor if size isn't an issue. Thanks in advance!

That depends on many factory ;)

But if the GPU runs in 66 °C, or 70°C... that does Not matter at all. The difference in life span will be so minimal, that you could not even measure it, because there are other factors to consider, that are completely unknown. For example, how good is the chip.

Example: A Very GOOD chip ("silkicon lottery") that runs in 72°C might have a longer lifespan, than a BAD chip that runs in 66 °C.

But this is pretty irrelevant, because before a chip is "dead" due to the Temperature, you will have upgraded already.

i've had a 7870 since 4 Years and 2 Months in use. It works just perfectly fine and would probably another 3 years without any problems.

However, one of the coolest and quietest is the MSI Gaming (X) 6G. The Cooler is completely overkill for this cute 120watt card, so it keeps the chip at <70°C (i had 66°C as highest temperature. Room temperature was 25°C~), by very slow spinning fans.

But that MSI Model comes at a higher Price..

MSI Gaming X, Asus Strix or the Gigabyte G1 gaming. All of these have massive heatsinks and dual/triple fans which are absolutely overkill. My g1 gaming doesn't hit 70 degrees even after overclocking, and it's cheaper than the other two options.

Home PC: i5 6402P | Kingston HyperX 8GBx2 | Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 1060 | Kingston UV400 240GB | WD blue 1TB Gigabyte H110m-S2 Cooler Master B500 v2

Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 710(Kaby Lake)

Phone: Oneplus 3

Tablet: iPad air 2

There is a gtx 1060 called the sea hawk. It has dedicated watercooling installed. I bet its the coolest. But the "coolest" one would be the rog strix version of asus. Awesome as f*ck. Me myself has the msi gaming x. Almost just as awesome

They made a sea hawk variant of the 1060??? But that thing has a 120w tdp why would anyone need to watercool it?
