DisplayPort Audio Not WOrking

Hello,

 

I have an LG 29UM67 Ultrawide monitor. I used to have it hooked up to my XFX r9 380 through HDMI. I use the onboard monitor speakers as my space is limited.

 

I switched to a DisplayPort cable to take advantage of the built in FreeSync in my monitor. Now Windows is now showing at my Built-in monitor speakers being "plugged in" in the Audio Devices. 

 

I have included a picture. It still shows my Ultrawide in the lsit, just not plugged in.

 

I thought DisplayPort carried audio, just like HDMI does.
