Computer fan blade count

It's easier to balance the blades and is less likely to resonate.

I'm bad at physics, but it has something to do with stuff.

 

Uhh.... See, if you have an even number of blades, then you've got blades across from one another, right? 

If you use an odd number of blades, then no blades are directly across from each other if you retain an equal distance between blades. 

 

So uh... if you have an even number of blades, oscillation can occur and uh... it causes the fan to become unbalanced.... and uh... science.
