Your No Man's Sky Performance

Just now, I Hendrycks I said:

i5-6600K, GTX 1080, 16GB DDR4 @2400MHz. Ran the game at 1440p. I was getting a constant 120FPS but every 3 or so seconds it would dip down to 10-20 FPS making me want to hurl lol

Have you solved the issue? There a a lot of possible fixes floating around.

Everything I have meets spec.

Besides my GT 740 gfx card.

I still manage 14-28 frames on low.

If they fix there stupid port, maybe I will get 30+ lol

*note I am totally in support of the dev, but to be fair they did sotra screw the port up*

I know someone with the top of the line alienware steam machine, and he gets the frames I get... and he has the top of the line alienware steam machine.

I'm getting 40-60 FPS with everything at High, 16x AF, FXAA at 1440p. Does encounter the odd frame drops though, but that seems to be a general thing. Will probably be ironed out in a patch. Otherwise it's smooth sailing. The game doesn't handle being Alt+Tabbed or exited too well, though. Crashed on me once, and locked my PC up another time.

GTX 770, i7 4790K, getting 50-60fps on max at 1080p, I've had the odd bit of lag but nothing to complain about. I'd agree with @Hasle about alt tabbing out, whenever I do, it will continue to run but will not display the game and will remain on my desktop, even though I can control it still.

Thought it had crashed on me, and having to click and hold in menu is a bit annoying

They released an experimental branch, I now have no stuttering at all, everything is smooth.

Right click game in steam, go to properties and the select the beta tab.
Enter in the code box 3xperimental and then download. It's inly about 17mb but makes a massive difference.

They also added a mouse smoothing setting in the options menu.

Edit the main menu splash screen is about 30 fps for about 5 seconds then it jump up, after that the game is smooth.

No issues here, 80 FPS average on my system (see sig). Had the odd drop yesterday and one CTD today but stable otherwise.

Also if you alt-tab don't stop the process or anything, just run it from Steam again and it'll go back to fullscreen.

My specs are listed below, and I have gotten multiple glitches from random fps drops, INSANE amounts of micro-stutters, the game flashing intensely whenever a menu, screen, or achievement popup other than the game came up, along with not being able to re open the game if I shift tab out.  At least I'm not getting crashes lol.

EDIT: I also cant change my mouse sensitivity in game, and it is stuck at 50(I play at about 20 in most games)

While I get 80s and 90s without vsync frametimes are bad, high 20s. But it's playable I'm happily stuttering across the universe.

Found a pretty nice forest planet I'm gonna mine in full to afford a large ship. Already named several species look for the thick cow, the lion goat and the bitailosaurus.
