I am upgrading my PC and need some help...

Lewiskyy

I have recently made the decision to upgrade my PC as I am doing well on youtube and I play games alot and the FPS just isn't god anymore.

I am upgrading my RAM, Motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler (to a liquid cooler) and GPU!

I am currently using an AMD PC and it just sucks.... I am going to Intel. I have decided on a few things but would love some opinions!

Any changes you think could make it better e,g, a cheaper GTX 1070 but still just as good or less RAM. I only play CS:GO, Black Ops 2 and The Forest. And also make YouTube videos (Lewiskyy, check me out :)) but might play some upcoming games. Thank you all help is greatly appreciated! I use GBP £, if you are from anywhere else don't hesitate to reply just go onto google and look up $xxx.xx

Maybe change Brand of the GPU to EVGA or somehting else, ASUS doesnt have good rep in GPU market on this forum. About water cooling I have no idea, go study Jayz2cents videos for that

Cheaper and probably same https://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-NVIDIA-GeForce-GAMING-Graphics/dp/B01HZQVSDO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1471037441&sr=8-2&keywords=evga+1070

But if u dont like the design then oh well.

Seems fine to me. What PSU you have btw ? If you're upgrading to these pretty nice parts, nice PSU should be also on the list. You don't really want to spend this much money and run the HW on some shitty PSU. :)

Just to comment that I've never heard of the MasterLiquid Pro but judging by CM's prudoct stack it's probably way overpriced for what it is. See how much a NZXT Kraken X61 costs, it might be a better choice.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

If you are doing youtube, then I suppose editing is important, in which case the i7 is justifiable.

If not though and you need more gaming performance, currently the most expensive 1070 listed on pcp (UK) has a 100 quid price difference to the cheapest 1080, which is about the difference between the 6600k and 6700k. If gaming is more important perhaps go with that. mind you, changing you cpu liquid cooler to something cheaper, could bridge that gap more and allow you to keep the i7 and GTX1080.

for reference, this is what that looks like.

This it? You should be fine with a 650W 80+ gold unit anyway.

What is your monitor? are you looking at 1080p @  144hz?
