So i've been all over the place, returning my psu because of lower quality (EVGA B2)

i've decided to go with a Corsair RMx 750W PSU after it got a johnnyguru score of 9.8 and has landed on the tier one of a few lists on here.

my question is, will it be enough for my needs?

i run

i5 4590

8 GB 1600 mHz RAM

MSI Z97 SLI KRAIT

GTX 980 at 1300 mHz

GTX 690 Running both gpus at 706 mHz (stock is 915) and 1350 mHz on memory (1502 at stock)

Here is the thing.

I will be rarely using both GPU's at once

the 980 will be for gaming

the 690 for something else

so my question is, can the RMx 750W PSU provide enough power for either a 980 or a very nerfed 690? can it provide enough power for both at once?

--thank you for your time

Your EVGA B2 is a tier 2 unit. Why are you replacing it? It would do just fine.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I don't know. Why do you want to run 3 GPUs? What does the GTX 690 do that the GTX 980 doesn't?

The EVGA B2 is also very good, you don't need to replace it with a RMx

i already returned the EVGA B2 (never took it out of the box) for the better quality and full modularity (creature comforts for me) and the RMx 750W just arrived

and the GTX 690 wont be running as a GTX 690. Long story short im modding it to Dual Quadro K5000s  (thats why its nerfed to the Quadro K5000 clock speeds)

AFAIK the only cables fixed on the EVGA B2 are absolutely required in your system like an 8-pin and the 24-pin. This actually makes cable management easier as these cables are thus located right by the nearest cable management grommet. The RMx is higher quality but there isn't a reason for you to upgrade to be 100% honest.

Oh, well OK, probably didn't need to return it but what's done is done. The RMx will be fine.
