LGA1366 Socket

So i built a computer a while back with parts only from ebay (i learned heavily from that) and the computer didnt work. I have narrowed it down to the cpu and am looking for a new one. My motherboard is a precision t3500 and im looking for a cheap quad core xeon that is new instead of used. I found one on amazon and it seems like a pretty good deal but i wanted to get assurance that it is. My second problem is that my power supply doesnt have an 8 pin cpu connector so i ended up putting 2 4 pins in the cpu power socket. is there an adapter that goes from 4 pin to 8 pin? also would that have caused the computer not to work?

just wanna mention that is not the intel you think it is ;)

 

also, that cpu is the same generation as i'm currently putting in "long term storage" at work :P

why did you send me to an amazon page of straws. i know my hardware is terrible but it outperforms my i3 540
