Hey guys, ive been deciding on a new psu and id like you to tell me if my choice is good enough. Ill buy a crosair cxm 600 for a build that will potentialy have 2 rx 480s in the future although that might not be sure and an 6700k.

Thanks.

I think 600W is a bit on the low side. I would go with a 750W PSU to be safe.

No, the power supply isn't good enough. For two RX 480s, you ideally want 650-750W.

I suggest the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B2 as a decent choice.

My budget doesnt really allow it or ill have to downgrade the series from a cxm to a cx or something

Well, 600W is enough for CPU and one GPU. But with 2 GPU's 600W is just not enough.

Well i calculated it both by myself and the coolermaster powersupply calculator and i dont get over 450 watts... I meam linus ran a build with an enthusiast grade cpu and 2 1080s for less than 500 watts

Huh, I was expecting closer to 500W. For two RX 480s, you'd be looking at roughly 450W. 500W is cutting it a bit close and the CX600 isn't good enough to be powering two of them. The CX650M should be your absolute minimum.

Good. The CX650M is much better.

The CX650M is a higher quality and better performing unit. Grab that. Just be warned that the sleeve bearing fan will eventually die in it. Also, if you can afford to Crossfire 480s then how come you can't spend a few bucks more on a better PSU to Crossfire with like an RMx or RMi?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
