crazy psu

i just got core 2 quad q6600 in my secound pc and it fried the past PSU

I putted 1 other PSU with more wats and it ran fine for 10-15 mins then i shutted it down and walked out of the room before i hear it to stop.

3 hrs later i walk pass the room and hear the fans spin /psu and cpu one/ - no signal from the pc  - power button did nothing /bouth single press and long press/ reset one also. It only stopped when i turned off the PSU and started again when flipped the switch again.

Can something burned out or its just crazy?

 

cpu i said above / mb asrock g31m-s / mb 4 gb / gtx 650ti / 450w  psu witch came from a gifted to me rig /filled with dirt more or less/

also the only thing i have tested from this psu untill now was the sata connector witch i used for 1 hdd while the rest of the un it was short circuied in order to run.
