Bottleneck with I3 6100 and Zotac GTX 1060 Mini?

in 1080p there will be a decent bottleneck of around 25% but you will definitly still get over 60 fps, so its nothing to really worry about... if you are looking into playing more cpu intensive games, go for an i5 6500 or 6400 and get maybe a gtx 950/ rx 460 instead, it will round the build out pretty well

Hi, i'm planning to build a PC (my first one) and I want it to be powerful, but i'm in a relatively low budget.

 

I live in Mexico, so I can't buy parts for Newegg or sites like those. I managed to squeeze the cheapest parts out of Amazon Mexico: I3 6100 $100, Zotac GTX 1060 Mini Edition $280, 

Asus H110M-C/CSM Mobo in $60, a EVGA 500W power supply, a Kingston Hyperx Fury DDR4 at 2133 Mhz (8GB), and a Cooler Master Hyper T4, WD 1TB hard drive at 7200 rpm, no SSD, and the rest are peripherals.

 

Is it going to create a bottleneck?, and if it does, what should I change or upgrade. My GPU options are: GTX 960, GTX 970, RX 480, or the RX 390. 

 

And... are all the parts ok with each other, because I don't trust very much pcpartpicker.com or sites like those.

Yes it will, but in some demanding games it won't like in crisis. And in my opinion you should get a aftermarket 480 or 970 depending on the cheaper model in your region.

In most games you will be fine but why get a cooler when you are gonna get a locked CPU? :o

But... how is it going to perform, I mean the I5 and the 950, I ask this because I've seen a lot of Youtube vids and almost all are different.

an i5 and a gtx 950 will perform about what you would except, med high settings 60fps on most games. the 1060 will perform on ultra most games 60fps. the trade off is that you are getting a weaker gpu and a stronger cpu that wont bottleneck a gpu upgrade, vs spending more on the gpu and less on the cpu, causing a bottleneck, but better performance.

 

personally i think the i3 is more than enough with the 1060, with room to upgrade later on to an i7 or i5 to alleviate bottlenecks, the i5 build is if you are happy with med-high settings and dont really see the point in upgrading the cpu later (but will upgrade the gpu to keep up with future games)

 

essentially, the i5 build will last longer on the cpu side, around 4 years, but will need graphics upgrades whenever you need, the i3 will need a serious cpu upgrade within a year, but you can put graphics off the list for awhile.

I think i'm staying with the I3 6100, it makes a bottleneck but it gives me the performance I want. Thank you very much bro!
