Best combo for DCS:World and Arma 3

Ryytli

Hello!
So, i'm planning to build a new PC for Arma 3, DCS:World ( CS:Go and Battlefield 4 too).
I've read that the best thing for those games is a CPU that has a lot of one core power.
So my question is:
Is combo of i7 6700k and GTX 960(likely 4gb version) good for those games or is i5 6600k and GTX970 somehow even better?
Of course you can suggest another possibilities :)

Budget is around 1100€(Europe)

Go for the i5 and the 970. The i5 there has plenty of horsepower for arma and the 970 will net you more frames in not just arma, but most all other games aswell.

If you plan on streaming the i7 combo. If you are just playing the games and using some type of voice chat like Discord, the i5 and 970 will do fine. Look at the 1060 or 1070 as well. The 1060 outperforms the 970 easily and is much cheaper new.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

The 970 has gone down quite a bit. Don't forget used are cheap as hell.

the 1060 is a bit higher priced than the 970 you should just save a little and go for that its much better and worth it as its about 239 (Europe) MSRP

So, this extra GHz from i7 isn't worth it? I'm thinking about overlocking but in the future.

Also do someone know something about DCS and how i5 does there in terms of fps?
