Hey guys,

Ok this is my first post here so i don't know how to start this.

So i need a laptop that i would be able to do some gaming, things like Skyrim if possible

so a core i7 atleast 6 gb ram a good graphics card and a 512 (ssd or hdd whichever possible)

i also need this laptop to be portable which makes the request difficult

but the most challenging part is my 1700usd budget

if anyone knew of such an amazing laptop i'd like to know about it,

and Thank You.

the razer laptop is over my budget

its 2000$ right?

Don't waste your money on a Razer piece of shit. They overheat, run 3-4 times louder than other laptops and Razer support is downright atrocious. Stay away from Razer and Acer

go for a Lenovo Y700. It has okay battery life (5 hours), can handle games pretty well, doesn't run absurdly loud or hot. If you want a more powerful and thinner laptop. Asus RoG GL502 Strix. 970M (60% faster than a 960M) and doesn't overheat (like the Razer Blade)

For portability alone and performance go with a Razer laptop

LOL, These are the only problems with them:

- Thermal throttle

- No quality control, so you might get one that is okay from the start, but you might also get one that is broken from the start.

- meh build quality, they use okay materials, BUT a 4 year old can put them better together, so there is that.

- Keyboard, kek not what you should get on a 2000$ laptop, more 600$ laptop

- "support" There is none, they are just stupid

- Short life time, because thermal throttling, so yeah 1-1½ years, that is just great... NOT

@bk-201 A lot of sagers laptops seem to be decent, since they are just clevo rebranded laptops, so go have a look there

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

just wondering but has the ever happened before?

that the laptops with last gen GPUs went down in price? Yes, they NEED to get rid of them or else they wasted a lot of cash. The news about new GPUs and CPUs spread fast and I mean really fast and most people only want the new things.

as @Pendragon said MSI is releasing their Pascal GPUs the 16th of August, so 9 more days or so, depending on where you are in the world and how your local retailers are.

then maybe wait 16 days, most of the time here in Denmark we have to wait a couple of weeks more with laptop releases for them to come here, sometimes even longer.

I know for a fact that I would be mad if I could just have waited 1 month more and then have gotten something better for the same price or the product with a nice discount. Sometimes even up to realeses they dump the priceses, they have done that here in Denmark, where they have a sale on lots of laptops, because next week the new models will come in and most people doesn't know that the new laptops are coming out, so they rush out and buy the ones that are on a really good sale.
