This statement was true 5 years ago. Do you know when the last time was that AMD released a CPU? It was in 2012.

 

Oh, and the i3-6100 in the links also has a 50% performance advantage over the athlon at only 10 more bucks. Just so you know, that if you do choose the other AMD one you will lose 50% performance at almost the same price.
