Used pc

I have been looking at craigslist and occasionally ebay for used pc parts and I just found an alienware x51 that with an i7 and a gtx 670 for 250$. It apparently has crashes/shutoff issues. Is this something that is easy to fix and most of all how good performance would I get in games with it if I did fix it. Thanks!

Probably bad ram/motherboard. Gpu or cpu or psu could be bad, but unlikely.

For $250? That's pretty reasonable for a crashing PC. I can probably fix it if he was very descriptive of the issue. Even if I fix it, I'd give it to my mom cause that thing won't be good for the games I play. Maybe you can salvage parts, but if you can get it for $150, that's a no brainer.
