So I have seen plenty of msi cards on amazon a lot cheaper than their counterparts by NVidia and evga and such. If I am looking at a gtx 1060 for example is an msi just as good as some other brand or could a lower end card by another brand be the equivalent to the msi 1060? I'm just wondering because they are a whole lot  cheaper.

He needs the specific model. Not just the brand/generation.

Normally I'd say it doesn't matter with pascal, but after seeing 100% of the msi 1070's sold in China malfunction, I'm not so sure I'd trust them with my money. Of course, that's in China and a 1070, so the decision of how much weight to place on that is up to you.

red is radeon

radeon is hot

they also use dragon for their logo, and dragons spit fire, so it'll probably burst in flames too

MSI makes more than one 1060

they use either the Twin Frozr VI, Armor 2X or Dual Fan design for cooling, either of them will be sufficient for a 120W or something TDP, that thing could be cooled by a potato strapped to it...

pretty sure it was gaming x

but I'm new to the whole gaming pc thing. I don't know much about the graphics cards. I thought that only the number like 950 or 1060 mattered. Can you try to explain to me how it all works. I'm trying to get a high end graphics card but don't want to spend big bucks which is what brought me to msi and I think it was a 1060. If not a 950 or 960 I cant remember. But if it is a 950/960/1060 does that mean it is automatically high end?

The Gaming X is far better than the FE cards. And is probably one of the best out RN. They come with better coolers and higher clock speeds out the box so they run cooler and perform better. Plus they look fancy :D
