Hey everyone. Quick question what do I do about this? It's in a Dell laptop with windows 7, intel i5..not sure on model. I'm just now learning about pcs. (Noob) Do I need a new hard drive, can it be done in a Dell laptop? When I go to system diagnostics quick scan on hard drive it stays at 0 %. Or do I just need to reinstall windows 7?20160805_213202.jpg

My friend's Dell prebuilt had the same problem. A power surge corrupted his drive. I managed to get into windows with it after a few tries, but apps like Microsoft Edge were missing (it was a windows 10 machine). I ended up reinstalling windows, and it works just fine.
