BSOD due to Internet? Help!

Go to solution Solved by kirashi,

If it indeed only blue screens when you have an active internet connection via your LAN / Ethernet port, I'd say it's the drivers for that device.

I've directly linked the Intel LAN drivers for your particular motherboard below.

Windows 7/8/8.1/10 64 bit - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/lan/Intel_LAN_Win7-8-81-10_V192104_1212504_2012019.zip

Here is the driver page in case you need other drivers as well: https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/Z97C/HelpDesk_Download/

Help!

So my pic is giving me the blue screen of death shortly after turning on with the ''Dcp watchdog violation'' or kernel security code when it's set up normally, but does not crash etc. when I unplug it's Internet via the Etherley cable.

I've had it blue screen before in the past due to dodgy graphics drivers, but never like this before. I have therefore I installed the latest driver and installed the on that comes on the cd in the box.

I haven't upgraded to any recent windows updates because I haven't used it in the last few days.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Specs:

Asus z97-c

Pentium g3258 (I've reset the bios to default, - no overclock)

Msi r9 270

2x4gb hyperx fury ddr3 1866mhz
