Hello everyone!

I wanted to change the leds on my G402, similar to the numerous led mods on the G502 found floating online.

However...I opened my mouse up to see this.

Are they the same LEDs as the G502 (LED SMD 0603)? They do look quite different, and there are two LEDs green and blue.

Measure the LED with a pair of calipers the SMD series refers to the dimension so if the are SMD0603 they will be 0.6mm long by 0.3mm wide. If you can get some that just bridge the distances between the contacts on the PCB that should work also.

Cool what do you think the voltage of the LEDs should be? In the instructables for changing the G502 leds its 1.5V to 3.5V. Any idea how that guy got this number?

LED's are a standard ~3.3V unless you go for colors like red, yellow or orange which are around 1.2V-2.0V. I can't tell the original LED exactly but it looks to be two separate chips so he probably just got ones that were a close enough dimension.
