Gpu for eyefinity/surround

Hello. 

I am getting 3 vc239h 1080p monitors for an eyefinity setup. I currently have a 390. I don't believe that is enough to drive games at 3k. What gpu do you think I should get? 1070? Or is eyefinity better in which case get a 490 or 480x?

This won't happen until Christmas but I was interested

I run a R9 290 at 6400x1080 which is more than 3x 1080 as i have a ultrawide and i can run BF4 and witcher 3 at that resolution with witcher 3 at 30 fps and bf4 30-60fps

For a upgrade don't get the RX 480 as it is the same as the R9 390 in performance.

a GTX 1070 would be an improvement so thats a option but as you are planning this in December i would wait and see if AMD has anything up there sleeve.

Yeah, I like to run my games at 60fps, so I need to upgrade. I mentioned a 480x as some people are saying the 490 will compete with the 1080
