In some games, yeah. Shouldn't be that bad though, you can use it until you get money for a CPU upgrade.

If you're aiming for 720p 240 fps, then yes. It you're aiming for 4K 30 fps, then no. If you're playing CPU intensive RPGs or RTS games with hundreds of things happening on screen at a time, yeah probably, if you're playing extremely graphically intensive games with very little CPU load then probably not. You're going to have to be more specific.

 

This is why "does x bottleneck y" is a meaningless question.

Yep pretty much can mark as solved. It's similar to the 1070 bottleneck debacle only even fewer cases since the 1060 mostly can't be doing 1080 120+FPS on high settings anyway.
