I have created a Tekkit private server for a friend and me to play on. Except when I try to start the server the command prompt says "The state engine was in incorrect state ERRORED and forced into state SERVER_STOPPED. Errors may hve been discarded". I haven't had this problem before, although I just port forewarded and I don't know if I did it right, if that is the problem.

Have you tried reloading all files or removing all the files then adding them back with all the plugins you are trying to use? Making a copy of your files are setting up the server again could work. You just have to make sure you save the world, and config files that you have setup for the server.

Also what version of Tekkit are you using and what all plugins and addons are you using so I can see if I can find any conflicts that may be causing it?

Go to the tekkit directory you chose during setup, there should be a log file. Maybe even a couple. Either attach it to a post or put it in to pastebin.com and give us the link. There's information before what you pasted that would help diagnose the issue. Usually you have to agree to terms and conditions inside of a text file before you can proceed (not sure about tekkit) but the log should help us know that.
