Changing GPU Thermal Paste

I have a GTX 1080 EVGA FTW that I have not used yet.

Should I replace the thermal paste with something higher quality, before I use it?

(I have Grizzly thermal paste)

No, just test the card, temps should be fine. If you see abnormal temps(Bad paste application from factory), replace it.

No. Do it after a year or two, not right after getting the card.

Replacing the compound might shave off 1-2C maybe 3 if you're lucky. Unless you're having obscure thermal throttling issues I wouldn't waste the time & thermal compound.
