Painting my noctua fan housing

Can I paint the fan housing that come with my noctua nh-d15? I plan to spray paint black and perhaps add some RGB lightstrips since I'm going for a black and red build.

Why not? Just make sure to mask the fan bearing properly so that you don't break the thing...

Just make sure the fan blades and hub are all sealed off. Adding paint to the blades will cause the fan to be louder (I know this from previous experience) and getting paint into the bearings will ruin it for good.

I think so, I've never tried it personally, but I have seen a tutorial in which a guy paints the blades of a Corsair fan and it worked....

If you want to be 100% on the safe side, buy an industrial ppc fan from noctua... It is fully black and the rubber corners are swappable....
