Help with gtx 970 strix

So this has happened to me 2 times now. I bought a GTX 970 Strix on a really good sale. (About 250 Dollars) And It worked perfectly. Then a weird sound started comming out of the fans. It was like bad bearing. So I asked from a warranty. And I got a brand new one. Well that sound is back. I wonder if anyone gets it aswell. It is not the normal fan noise.

 

Any has had this problem and have any tips?

I believe that some Asus cards have problems where the fan or LED wire hits the fan. Try to see if anything like that is happening.

Like @Flavortown2k16 it sounds like that fan isn't too happy.

 

I kinda hope the user serviceable fan thing catches on because the programs by XFX and Sapphire to allow for user replaceable fans sounds really promising. Though it might be awhile before we see how well this idea will work.

Try putting them at 100% speed and 50% and changing that rapidly before you RMA it. It might fix the bearings if the lubrication for them didn't spread or stuck. I fixed my Jetflo and Venturi HF fans

Sounds like the fan is hitting a wire. It actually happened to my 1070, freaked me out but I realized that one of the wires were touching it and I basically moved it aside instead of rmaing it.

Hi, i had the same card, same sound. Simply sent it back and got around 285€ for it (bought it for around 330€) ..

That card is just crap.
