Can I buy DDR3L ram?

Hey guys, I want to upgrade my computer by quite a bit.

 

I would like to buy 2x16GB sticks. These sticks: Transcend 32Gb (2x16Gb) 2Rx4 DDR3L 1600 REG B86870

I currently have this MB: F2A85-M LE

And this Processor: AMD II X4 750K

 

You dont have to feel the need to say that i wont be using all of its potential etc. I just would like to know if the DDR3L Sticks would fit my board. :)

why wouldnt it. Its ddr3. Its just low profile

It should still run properly tho. They can do 1.5V they are marked DDR3L because they are capable of going as low as 1.35V

Sure? I mean yeah the ram can do it but i found something on wikipedia that i dont really understand.

Yup completely fine. Just pop the ram into the slots and smooth sailing. One thing though. Can your mobo even handle 16 gb per a slot?

SDRAM is synchronous dynamic RAM, and I think that's the type of memory we use in pretty much all consumer applications today. DIMMs are desktop modules and SODIMMs are laptop modules, if that was what you were thinking of.

 

As for the OP, I'd say that unless there is some huge benefit to using DDR3L (and there isn't if you're going to push 1.5 V or more through it anyway), just stick to DDR3 to ensure compatibility. Logically it seems like DDR3L should work, but I don't see anything specifically saying it does in that motherboard's manual or compatibility list.

Its not the DDR3L that gets me the advatages, the slightly more amount of ram (24gb more) is where it hits. DDR3L just has some good deals on ebay.
