top laptops for about $1000

Hello, 
I'm about to go college pretty soon and was wondering if anyone can help me look for a laptop for about $1000-$1500 it doesn't have to be a gaming laptop. preferably the specs i want in a laptop is an i5 or up , 8gbs of ram or up, 1tb hard drive, and it's dedicated graphics card (this is negotiable) . A 15-inch screen is ideal for me and it has 1080p or above. Also, I was looking at the 15-inch macbook pro 2015 as a laptop to get. So please help me out with some options

I live in the United States and primarily I would like to use the laptop for light gaming, streaming, surfing the web and photo and video editing.

A budget gaming laptop will be completely fine for that purpose. Recommendations below from price low to high. 

Dell 7559: budget af laptop

XPS15 or wait for the new macbook line up. If you're getting the XPS15, might i recommend the i7/16gb/512ssd/FHD version. This is the only FHD one with the bigger battery. You don't really need a 4k screen as that introduces windows scaling issues and battery drain. Unless you're into professional photo or video editing, in which case you should consider the 4k.

I'd say the Lenovo Y700 or Asus G552VW are the better options for the price. The Dell 7559 is a very budget-oriented laptop in the sense that it's basically cheaper but also inferior to the others. XPS15 is good but it's not meant for gaming or any heavy workloads.
