I'm getting a new Android smartphone and I was wondering what are my best options right now?

I currently have the HTC One (M8).

My main concerns for a phone the resolution (I really want 2560x1440p), camera quality and being fast, heh. Zoom Zoom! I don't care too much about screen size, but bigger the better, right?

I only use my phone for music, taking photos and watching videos on YouTube.

Thanks,

Deyarn.

I would advise staying away from the G5 though. NOT worth it. I know people that have it, and regret their purchase. Oh, and just remember, the Note 7 is supposed to come out in a couple weeks...but from the look of it, they were pretty lazy with it...it's basically a slightly larger S7 Edge, with a stylus.

There are 2 new nexus phones coming out at some point in the not to distant future. I am thinking about upgrading from my LG G4 to the smaller 5 inch device so that I can move off of my parents Verizon line and onto my own Project Fi line.

I would also take a look at the current line of Galaxy devices. They have improved massively from the Galaxy S4 which I had before my G4.

If budget is not a concern, Note 5 or the Note 6 that should be coming out soon. Samsung has the best camera on Android (and arguably the best, period). It has a pretty quality dac inside, the amp still isn't that great so it won't be able to drive extreme impedance headphones, but the sound quality is great. Youtube on Note 5 is awesome, while most probably dont use it, I split screen it with chrome when I need to search something up or just browse while watching a video. (and if you are and artist, the SPen is actually pretty decent at drawing, not anywhere near a dedicated graphics tablet, but still great)

If you want something smaller, then the Galaxy S series would be great, same listed features in a smaller package.

I have a Galaxy S6 and yeah the multi-function is nice.

Mmm. So it seems either the HTC 10 or Galaxy 7 or Edge 7. Seeing as HTC 10 is a direct upgrade, and I won't have to learn how to use a whole new phone. I might go with HTC 10.

Any reason why I shouldn't do this or...?

I would still say the camera and screen quality of any current Samsung flagship is still better than the HTC 10. the 10 is a solid all around phone, so there is no harm in choosing it.

I think you should go for note 7.

When it comes to Android Samsung still has some of the best devices manufacturered.

If you like pure stock Android, wait for the new Nexus. It is coming out within one or two months I think.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
