So i currently run a A8 7650k rig overclocked to 4GHZ on integrated graphics, so im looking for a dedicated graphics card, the problem is im not sure what way to go

Option 1: Get an R7 250 for roughly $75 and run it in duel graphics mode along side the APU

Option 2: Get a GTX 750 TI for about $115 and run it as a single card

What would you suggest is the better option for the money?

It is common knowledge that the best bang for the buck is in the $200-250 range. Any less and you are paying too much $$/performance. I leave everyone else to make more specific recommendations. I do like my 4GB GTX 960 though.

Were I buying a card today, RX 480 would be the only logical choice.

Black Knight-

Ryzen 5 5600, GIGABYTE B550M DS3H, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz, Asrock RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming,

Seasonic Focus GM 750, Samsung EVO 860 EVO SSD M.2, Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe, Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon

Daughter's Rig;

MSI B450 A Pro, Ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz, Silicon Power A55 512GB SSD, Gigabyte RX 5700 Gaming OC, Corsair CX430

So what are you using it for? Are you on an 8K DSR 8x MSAA Ultra textured Extreme tessellation with ambient occlusion enabled on a quad monitor 165 HZ setup? or a 720p panel running minecraft?

Blue screens eh? Did you try setting it to Wumbo?

R7 250 won't do you much good, that 950 however will suit your current needs very well. You can always wait for those 460/470s to come out, but theirs no guarantee where they will be on the price to performance scale.

RX 460 comes out 8 August, I believe (don't quote me on this), and will outperform both. However, if you already have an A10-78x0K processor, an R7 250 would be my recommendation to you. Make sure you buy a DDR3 version, as GDDR5 will not work in dual graphics.

2GB of VRAM is not enough for modern games. I'd say that 3.5GB or more is my recommendation for 1080p ultra.
