Have you RMA'd Crucial RAM before?

Has anyone ever rma'd crucial ballistix sport memory?  I have an 8 gb dimm that died last night.  My computer was freezing and stuttering so i restarted it. When i did, it then became stuck at the bios splash screen for a few minutes. The fans would run, lights would come on, but no POST through my 1070 or through onboard graphics.  I tried just one stick of ram first, and it didn't work.  I pulled the gpu out, and sata power cables and tried running off onboard graphics.  After pulling the gpu, the RAM debug L.E.D. was visible, and was lit.  So I tried the other stick and it POSTed, so I have one bad DIMM.  I started the RMA at crucial already, I'm just wondering if anyone has been through it before, and how it went? Did they charge you for shipping? Thanks,

i have not used crucial RMA, but currently going through geil.

 

contact support

received support ticket

6wks later, i recontact them (fell through a crack)

got RMA# to send product to taiwan (from USA) on my dime

sent product via USPS international mail ($45)

still waiting 14wks after initial contact.
