Loud noise

I can't upload the sound of it but Im hearing a weird clicky sounding noise every second and it's jittery and I would like to know what it is. It's coming from either the cd drive or hdd but idk which it is. Help.

Try disconnecting some of your fans one by one to rule that out.

Do you have a hdd. Its probably that. 

 

Shut it down

 

Copy the files with ddrescue to anouther drive to make a image. Don't touch it

It's my only hdd though that's a problem

you don't have a external hdd or any computer?

 

Do you care about the data. If you don't you can rma the drive and get a new one, but you will lose all your data.

It's a new pc I bought though that's the issue. I sold my old pc for this

If you don't then return it.

 

If you do, but a external hdd and use ddrescue on a bootable use to make a image of the drive.
