EVGA ACX COOLER

Hello guys , i a going to buy the EVGA ACX cooler for my CPU . I was wondering , will there be an issue if i put the Cooler Master Silencio fan on it and not use the evga's stock fan . Also fi there are any of you that use this cooler , can u give a little bit of information about how it performs . Thanks :))

Do you mean the GPU? It depends, if it will fit for your card is reference and the ACX cooler you are buying is for a reference sure, but I'd think you would run into issues if it is not a reference board as they are custom design.

What CPU are you using, and are you overclocking? If you're not overclocking, you don't really need anything more than the stock cooler. If you just want it to run a little quieter, there are tons of $10-15 downdraft coolers that are quieter and better than stock.

 

For the price of the EVGA (and assuming you're overclocking), you can do a whole lot better. Look into the Cryorig H7 or, if you can't get your hands on it, the Deepcool Gammaxx 400. If neither of those is available, the Hyper 212 EVO is pretty much everywhere, but it's louder and slightly less effective than the H7, and it's pricier and slightly less effective than the Gammaxx. Any one of those three should be plenty unless you intend to really push your OC to the max, in which case beefier stuff by Noctua, Cryorig, beQuiet, Thermalright and Phanteks enters the equation.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
