Best way to set up 2 monitors?

Seduced Senpai

Hi Guys,

I have just got my second monitor and am wondering the best way to set it up.

Someone suggested to me about connecting the second monitor through the on-board graphics so its not putting as much pressure/usage on my graphics card. Is this a good idea?

And also will running two monitors make my temps go up?

Just curious, want to learn more!

Cheers Guys!

There will be an unnoticeable drop in performance unless your trying to run something very intensive (like high bit-rate video or a game) on the sec monitor.

You can run the second monitor off the I-GPU if, your cpu has one and your mobo supports output of both D-GPU and I-GPU which some don't. I have heard of some problems that can arise but nothing major.

At the end of the day though, it doesn't really matter what plugs into what.
