My Laser Collection

[A Silver]

In the picture below is my laser collection. I use to have a 5mw violet laser but that stopped working and i am hoping to get a high power violet laser in the near future. Starting from the left (top) we have:

 

1mw Violet laser from Amazon

 

1-5mw (not sure) red laser from Amazon

 

200mw Green Laser from GY3.co.uk (shop now closed)

 

5mw Green Ebay laser

 

Now the impressive stuff!

 

500mw (probably less powerful) green laser from Laser Pointer Pro

 

2700mw Blue Laser From Sci Fi Lasers (shop now closed)

 

And lastly 900-1200mw Arcane 2.0 red laser

Anything over 5mw can burn paper, I believe.

Yes. The all the lasers over 200mw can burn.

Can't 5mw do some damage, or am I mistaken?

Only need 5mw to burn? damm I was looking for 1W back then... Good thing I didn't buy any, wouldn't know what to do with it after I burnt down my house lol

I believe it can burn paper.

It depends on the wavelength of the laser. A 5mw blue laser (they don't exist but this an example) will most likely be able to burn as long as you can focus it but a 5mw red laser wont be able to burn. Also any laser over 5mw can blind you or damage your eyes so you need safety goggles.
