Font changed on Chrome after update

Please help. My Chrome now has this weird bold text and its quite annoying.. tried to reinstall and still no luck

Have you tried forcing an update? 

 

Chrome Browser > Help > About Google Chrome

 

There it should show if you need an update or not

Pretty sure it's because of that theme in that tab you're using.

Even after resetting theme its still the same

I think that theme changed the .ttf that Chrome uses. Even if you reset the theme the .ttf file remains the same.

Put this in your address bar: chrome://settings/fonts

and see if you can change it

Tried changing that. no change

Go into a Word processor and try typing something with the Arial font. If it looks the same as the Chrome tabs then you need to fix your Arial font files.
