Thas a ide drive with a adaptor on the pins. You have to first remove the compaq adaptor then get a usb to ide 2.5 adaper.

this would work fine http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-IDE-SATA-to-USB-2-0-A-Male-2-5-3-5-inch-Hard-Drive-Converter-Cable-/311628486929?hash=item488e815911:g:o2sAAOSw9eVXVS0u

See those two little bolts on the right and left side of the connector? Try to remove those and it may reveal a SATA connector for the HDD. To me this just looks like a proprietary connector that lies inbetween the SATA drive and the mobo.

You have to remove that, and under is a ide drive.
